Cervando Velasquez Struck Dead in Multi-Car Crash on 134 Freeway near 2 Freeway

 
PASADENA, CA (June 17, 2024) — Cervando Velasquez died after being hit in a multi-car accident on the 134 Freeway near the 2 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal multi-vehicle crash happened around 10:13 p.m. Thursday. Under unclear circumstances, three vehicles collided on the 134 Freeway just west of Glendale. Shortly thereafter, CHP officers responded, finding the victim on the eastbound lanes of the freeway and several damaged cars.
 
Due to his condition, 57-year-old Velasquez, the pedestrian, passed away at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner recently identified him.
 
At the time of the report, police investigators did not specify the events or cause of the accident. However, they will look into this matter further.
