Authorities Arrest Driver for DUI after Crashing into Sacramento Bus on Wyda Way
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 15, 2024) – A driver was arrested in a DUI crash at Wyda Way and Howe Avenue in the Arden-Arcade area of Sacramento on Wednesday evening.
The crash happened just after 9:00 p.m. on June 12. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of the minivan crashed into the back of a Sacramento Regional Transit bus.
The bus driver had two passengers onboard, and there were three people in the minivan, including the driver.
No one was seriously hurt in the crash.
The minivan sustained heavy damage to the right side of the front end. The bus was also damaged.
Officers arrested the driver of the van for DUI.
An investigation is ongoing.
