Motorcyclist Dies after Motorcycle Accident near Golden Lantern in Laguna Niguel

 
ORANGE COUNTY, CA (June 3, 2024) – A man died in a motorcycle accident near Golden Lantern and Hidden Hills Road, Thursday evening.
 
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened on May 30, at about 5:15 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a sedan and a motorcycle collided in the intersection.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Responders temporarily closed all southbound lanes on Golden Lantern from Paseo de Colinas to Hidden Hills Road to make way for an investigation.
 
The sheriff’s department continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
