Encounter with Deer Causes Car to Crash into Tree on Lower Honcut Road Sending Two People to Hospital

 
BUTTE COUNTY, CA (June 1, 2024) – Two people were injured in a car accident on Lower Honcut Road in south Butte County early Thursday morning on May 30.
 
The accident happened shortly after midnight, just south of Oroville. According to the California Highway Patrol, a car slammed into a tree after the driver swerved to avoid a deer.
 
Responding paramedics found the female driver and a male passenger, both suffering moderate injuries including broken bones. They took them to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
