Two-Car Crash on Highway 18 in Apple Valley Kills 28-Year-Old Man
APPLE VALLEY, CA (June 20, 2024) – Markell Lister was killed in a two-car accident in Apple Valley Saturday evening on June 16.
The fatal accident happened around 7:00 p.m. on Highway 18 at Central Road. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Lister was driving a Ford Fiesta north along Central Road when an Audi SQ5 heading east on Highway 18 broadsided his car.
As a result, Lister suffered severe injuries. Responding paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he later died. He was a 28-year-old An Apple Valley resident.
The driver of the Audi, a 27-year-old Apple Valley man, suffered unspecified injuries.
Deputies from the sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team are spearheading the investigation.
