Shaylee Williams Detained, 1 Killed in DUI Rollover Crash on 210 Freeway near 30th Street

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (June 11, 2024) — Shaylee Williams faces DUI charges following Saturday’s deadly rollover accident on the 210 Freeway near 30th Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the drunk driving accident happened around 7:40 p.m. For DUI reasons, 27-year-old Williams lost control of a westbound Mercedes-Benz SUV. Subsequently, she failed to negotiate a turn and crashed into a yellow advisory sign, causing the car to roll onto 30th Street.
 
At some point during the crash, a female passenger was ejected and pinned underneath the vehicle.
 
Soon after, bystanders tried lifting the vehicle to free the woman from underneath. Upon freeing her, a witness performed CPR until paramedics arrived, rushing her to a hospital where she later passed away.
 
Officials did not release her name. However, officers arrested the San Bernardino driver —Williams — on suspicion of DUI causing great bodily injury. If anyone has more to add to this fatal crash, please call the CHP.
