1 Killed, Car Crashes Into Agriculture Equipment on Road 128 near Avenue 24 [Visalia, CA]

Fatal 2-Car Accident on Road 128 in Visalia

 
VISALIA, CA (July 5, 2024) — A man died after his car crashed into a vehicle hauling agriculture equipment on Road 128 near Avenue 24.
 
The deadly two-vehicle crash took place around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities are investigating why a 47-year-old Rosamond man allowed his northbound Toyota Sienna to drift to the left and enter the oncoming traffic lane. Subsequently, his Toyota Sienna crashed into agricultural equipment, towed by a southbound GMC 2500 pickup, whose driver tried swerving to avoid the imminent collision.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded but the Toyota driver passed away from severe injuries. Officials have not released his name.
 
At this time, the California Highway Patrol is looking into the ultimate cause, including if DUI factored into the accident. Those with information that can help with this case can call the CHP.
