Man Dies afte Struck by At Least One Vehicle on 5 Freeway in Santa Ana

 
SANTA ANA, CA (July 13, 2024) – A man was struck and killed by at least one vehicle on 5 Freeway in Santa Ana late Friday evening on July 12.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:45 p.m. on the southbound freeway, just east of First Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim wearing a plaid jacket, was seen lying on the right shoulder of the freeway.
 
Responding coroner’s personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
The name, age and city of residence of the victim were withheld at this time.
 
According to officers, the victim appeared to have been struck by at least one vehicle.
 
No other information available. The circumstances of this fatality remain under investigation.
