Cody Hendrix Dies in Pedestrian Crash on 5 Freeway near East Street
WOODLAND, CA (February 23, 2021) — Cody Hendrix was killed in a pedestrian accident on the 5 Freeway near East Street Friday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly incident happened around 11:20 p.m. Upon arriving, police learned that a 2020 Nissan traveling northbound on the freeway struck Cody Thomas Hendrix of Potlatch, Idaho.
Per reports, the 27-year-old succumbed to his injuries. As for the driver of the Nissan, that person escaped injury and stayed at the scene for investigation.
At this time, police have no information on the ultimate cause of the crash and have ruled out DUI as a factor. However, anyone with information on this accident should call the CHP.
