Man Hurt in San Diego Scooter Accident on Mission Bay Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 23, 2021) — A man was injured in a scooter accident on Mission Bay Drive near Gleason Road Sunday afternoon.
According to the San Diego Police, the scooter crash occurred around 1:25 p.m. Upon arriving in the 1200 block of West Mission Drive, police found a 30-year-old victim with a brain bleed and road rash. Shortly after, paramedics responded to the scene and transported the man to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, the 67-year-old female driver of the Ford Escape stayed at the scene. According to investigations, she had drifted to the right while crossing the bridge and struck the scooter. In addition, drugs and alcohol have been ruled out as possible factors.
