Fiery Accident on Normandie Avenue in South LA Involves Ice Cream Truck
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (February 24, 2021) – Four people sustained injuries after a fiery accident on Normandie Avenue near Gage Avenue Thursday last week.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident happened around 6:05 p.m., February 18.
Authorities said a car and an ice cream truck collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused the car to catch fire. The ice cream truck overturned on its side.
All occupants in the burning car were able to get out before firefighters arrived.
Paramedics treated four people with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are still investigating the cause and factors involved in the accident.
