Car Accident on Highway 137 in Tulare County Kills 30-Year-Old Man
TULARE COUNTY, CA (February 22, 2021) – A man died in a car accident on Highway 137 in Tulare County early Saturday morning.
The accident occurred around 12:40 a.m., February 20, when the driver of a 2008 Honda traveling east on Highway 137 near Road 148, veered off the roadway for unknown reasons.
The car then collided into a steel posted fence and a vacant residence.
The man, who was unrestrained during the crash, succumbed to his injuries. Authorities only described him as a 30-year-old Porterville resident.
The victim’s name is being withheld until next of kin are notified.
The crash was reported six hours later when it was discovered by nearby residents.
Drugs or alcohol were not considered as factors. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
