Man Dies in Torrance Pedestrian Accident on Hawthorne Boulevard
TORRANCE, CA (February 25, 2021) — A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Hawthorne Boulevard at Artesia Boulevard Tuesday night.
According to police, the incident happened around 9:14 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a 2011 Honda CRV struck the 57-year-old while traveling north.
As a result of the accident, the pedestrian died, despite treatment efforts by the Torrance Fire Department.
Following the crash, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Inferring from evidence, police ruled out DUI as a possible source of the accident. However, if anyone has more information on this crash, please contact Torrance police.
