Two Hospitalized, Woman Arrested after DUI Accident on Gas Point Road at Marsha Way
IGO, CA (February 15, 2021) — Two people suffered injuries following a DUI accident on Gas Point Road on Wednesday, February 10.
According to the California Highway Patrol, at about 7 p.m. Wednesday, a Mercury Mariner SUV traveled northbound on Gas Point Road near Marsha Way. Then it veered into the southbound lane ad crashed head-on with a motorcyclist.
CHP said that two people were on the motorcycle. Paramedics rushed both to a nearby hospital. One was airlifted and the other was transported via ambulance. The extent of their conditions is not yet available.
Officials conducted a sobriety test on the female driver of the SUV and determined she was driving under the influence.
Authorities arrested the SUV driver for DUI.
The incident is still under investigation.
