Reef Crimson Killed in DUI Crash on State Street in Hemet
ROSEVILLE, CA (February 28, 2021) – Authorities identified Reef Crimson as the victim who died in a head-on crash on State Street on February 27.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near South Village Loop around 3:20 PM.
Based on a report, a Ford Mustang heading north on State veered into southbound lanes. Subsequently, it slammed into an oncoming Ford F-150.
As a result, the Hemet Police Department said the Mustang driver died at the scene. Later on, the Riverside County coroner’s office identified the victim as Reef Crimson, 58, of Hemet. Crews rescued the driver of the F-150 by cutting him out of the wreckage. After that, they sent him to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police said there was evidence that alcohol or drugs may have been a factor in the crash.
