Woman Dies in Oakland Pedestrian Accident on MacArthur Boulevard
OAKLAND, CA (March 1, 2021) — A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on MacArthur Boulevard near Adams Street Thursday afternoon.
According to authorities, the accident occurred around 3:25 p.m. in the 300 block of MacArthur Boulevard.
Minutes before the accident, a woman and a co-worker began crossing MacArthur Boulevard to get to their cars. Subsequently, a two-axle dump truck slowed down for the two, causing a backup. However, a Nissan Maxima tried passing up the line of vehicles by crossing the double-yellow lines. Consequently, the Nissan struck the woman and fled the area soon after.
