Elderly Dies after Hit by Electric Scooter on Lincoln Boulevard in Venice, Driver Arrested for DUI
VENICE, CA (May 31, 2021) – A man was hit and killed by an electric scooter on Lincoln Boulevard in the Venice area of Los Angeles Saturday evening.
The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. on May 29, at Marco Court. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a rented electric scooter with two people on it struck the elderly man in the area.
As a result, the victim died at the scene. The coroner’s office is still working to identify his identity.
The man and woman on the scooter suffered minor injuries. The driver of the scooter remained on scene. Police arrested him for DUI.
An investigation continues.
