Humberto Chavez Involved in Fatal Electric Scooter Crash near 7th Street and Ohio Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (July 19, 2021) — Humberto Chavez became involved in a deadly electric scooter accident near 7th Street and Ohio Avenue Saturday.
According to the Long Beach Police, the fatal scooter crash happened just before 3:30 am.
For unknown reasons, Humberto Mendez Chavez, struck the victim, an Orange resident riding a VEO electric scooter. Officers arrived shortly after to find Chavez with an expired driver’s license, his 2010 Ford Mustang and the seriously injured victim who died later at a hospital.
