25-Year-Old Man Dies in Concord Pedestrian Accident on Kirker Pass Road
CONCORD, CA (July 31, 2021) – A 25-year-old man was killed in pedestrian accident on Kirker Pass Road in Concord Saturday morning.
The accident happened around 5:00 a.m. on July 31, near Clearbrook and Myrtle drivers. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was walking in the area when a southbound vehicle struck him.
As a result, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The coroner’s office will release his name and place of residence after formal identification and notification of next of kin.
The involved driver, a 30-year-old man, remained on scene and cooperated with police.
Crews closed two lanes of Kirker Pass Road for about three hours as they cleared the area.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation. Police asked anyone with further information to contact 925-603-5963.
