Major Injuries Sustained in Pedestrian Accident near 43rd Street in Mountain View Neighborhood
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (July 19, 2021) – A 59-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident near 43rd Street in San Diego’s Mountain View neighborhood.
The accident happened around 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14, at National Avenue. Police said two pedestrians were crossing in a crosswalk when a 2016 Jeep SUV that was making a left turn onto National Avenue struck them.
The impact caused major injuries on the female pedestrian, including a fractured skull and brain bleed. Paramedics rushed her to a hospital in an unknown condition.
Meanwhile, the male pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The involved driver stopped and cooperated with police.
The San Diego Police Department is still investigating the accident.
