VISALIA, CA (August 18, 2021) — A person was struck by a hit-and-run driver near Mooney Boulevard and Noble Avenue over the weekend.
 
According to reports, officers found the victim around 4:30 a.m. Saturday. In the investigation, police determined that the driver pulled into the lot and stopped for a moment. Subsequently, he or she turned on the headlights and sped up, running over the victim who was reportedly sleeping in the parking area.
 
Subsequently, the driver sped away, leaving the victim with several injuries.
 
At this time, officers have not learned the identity of the hit-and-run driver. Although, those with additional information should call the Visalia Police Department.
