Woman Dies in Two-Car Crash on Blanco Road
MARINA, CA (August 17, 2021) — A woman died in a two-car accident on Blanco Road near Davis Road Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-car collision happened around 6:15 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a 2002 Hyundai driving eastbound did not slow down behind a stopped 2021 Dodge Ram 5500.
Per reports, the Dodge driver was stopped eastbound before a turn signal to turn into an agricultural field. Subsequently, the Hyundai slammed into the back of the Dodge.
Due to the force of the impact, a female passenger in the Hyundai suffered fatal injuries.
At this time, investigators do not believe the woman wore a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Because much of the crash details remain outstanding, authorities plan to investigate this case further. If anyone has more information, please contact the CHP.
We would like to express our sympathies to the family and friends of the victim.
