71-Year-Old Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident on East Gum Avenue [Woodland, CA]

Old Man Hurt in Hit-and-Run Crash on East Gum Avenue and Thomas Street

 
WOODLAND, CA (October 25, 2021) — An elderly man suffered injuries in a hit-and-run accident on East Gum Avenue on Thursday, October 14.
 
According to the Woodland Police Department, the incident happened on East Gum Avenue and Thomas Street at around 7 p.m. They said a vehicle struck a pedestrian and then drove away.
 
Officers arrived on the scene and medics rushed the 71-year-old victim to UC Davis Medical Center. They said he suffered life-threatening injuries.
 
Reports said the vehicle stopped after hitting the victim but left the scene before being identified.
 
Officials describe the involved vehicle as being similar to a white, GMC Yukon XL Denali, most likely a model between 1999 and 2006.
 
Officers said it most likely will have some damage near the driver-side headlamp and fender.
