57-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Accident on Chollas Parkway in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 25, 2021) – A 57-year-old male pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Chollas Parkway, Saturday evening.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on October 23, at about 8:15 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle hit the victim near the 5600 block of Chollas Parkway.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities withheld his identity, pending notification of next of kin.
 
However, the driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and immediately fled the area. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a white Jeep.
 
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division continues to investigate the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
