79-Year-Old Woman Dies in Santa Paula Pedestrian Crash on March Street
SANTA PAULA, CA (October 4, 2021) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on March Street near Steckel Drive Friday evening.
According to reports, the fatal incident occurred around 7:46 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver traveling at a slow speed in the parking lot of Vista Cove Care Center struck a 79-year-old woman.
Soon after, paramedics responded and took her to Ventura County Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries. At this time, officers have not said what drove the driver to hit the woman in her wheelchair. However, they have ruled out impairment as a possible source.
