At Least One Dead in Deadly Hit-and-Run Accident near MacArthur Boulevard

 
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (October 6, 2021) — At least one person died in a hit-and-run accident near MacArthur Boulevard and Bison Avenue Saturday.
 
According to police, the accident happened sometime around Saturday evening. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a 2016 Toyota Tundra Crew Cab became involved in a crash. As a result, at least one person suffered fatal injuries, and the driver left the scene shortly thereafter.
 
As of now, the Newport Beach Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating the Toyota Tundra that has a blue Nevada license plate and a Chargers logo on the rear window. Thus, anyone with more information should contact Officer Laverty at 949-644- 3746 or alaverty@nbpd.org.
