HUNTINGTON PARK, CA (October 25, 2021) – A bicyclist sustained injuries in a hit-and-run collision on Pacific Boulevard, Wednesday evening.
 
According to the Huntington Park Police Department, the incident happened on October 20, at about 8:00 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle hit the bicyclist in the area of Pacific Boulevard and Randolph Street.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle fled the area and broke into a stranger’s home. There, the suspect barricaded himself inside.
 
A short time later, a SWAT team arrived and surrounded the house. The barricade situation continued for several hours into the evening and overnight Wednesday.
 
The bicyclist hit by the vehicle sustained injuries. However, updates on the victim’s current condition remain undisclosed.
 
Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
