DUI Driver Involved in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 14 in Santa Clarita
SANTA CLARITA, CA (October 22, 2021) – One person suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash on northbound Highway 14 on October 17.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near the Jakes Way overpass at approximately 5:30 PM.
Based on an initial report, a Harley Davidson was driving on the northbound lane of the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it collided with a Hyundai Accent sedan.
As a result, a passenger of the motorcycle sustained injuries in the incident. As of now, the extent of the victim’s condition is still unknown.
After an assessment, CHP officers determined the driver of the Harley to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Consequently, they arrested the rider for felony DUI.
At this point, an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
