Tree Trimmer Dies from Fatal Fall while Cutting Away Dead Limbs of 60 to 70 Foot Tree at Camino Ricardo in Orinda
ORINDA, CA (October 23, 2021) – A tree trimmer was killed in an accidental fall at Camino Ricardo in Orinda Wednesday.
The accident happened on October 20, just outside of the Moraga Country Club. According to Orinda police, the tree trimmer was cutting away dead limbs of a 60-70-foot tree on Camino Ricardo when he fell.
Fire crews of the Moraga-Orinda Fire District responded and located the victim. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim did not survive and was declared dead.
It is still unclear when on Wednesday the accident happened, or what caused the trimmer to fall.
An investigation is underway.
