Fiery Accident on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara Kills Both Driver and Passenger
SANTA BARBARA, CA (October 23, 2021) – Oscar Moreno and Jessica Honor both died in a fiery accident on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara Wednesday night.
The fatal accident happened just after 6:00 p.m. on October 20, at Garden Street. According to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department, the victims were occupants in a Mercedes S-500 coupe. The car exited the southbound freeway off-ramp and slammed into a retaining wall on the on-ramp. It then overturned and burst into flames.
Moreno, a 29-year-old man, and his passenger Honor, a 35-year-old woman, both died at the scene. Both were Santa Barbara residents, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Coroner Office.
The crash is still under investigation by the CHP. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the CHP at 805-967-1234.
