Eduardo Silva Dies after Crash in Pacoima, Hit-and-Run Driver Sought
PACOIMA, CA (October 22, 2021) – A motorcyclist died in a hit-and-run crash around 8:35 p.m. on October 16 in Pacoima.
The man who died has been identified as 53-year-old Eduardo Silva, according to his family.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Silva ejected off of his blue 2012 Kawasaki Motorcycle when he collided head-on with a gray 2015 Toyota Corolla on Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Judd Street.
While on the ground, a southbound white sedan struck him. However, that car did not stop and police are looking for the driver.
The driver of the Corolla remained on scene and cooperated with police.
Responding paramedics rushed Silva to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family pay for funeral expenses. In addition, the family hope to add to the $50,000 reward for information about the hit-and-run driver.
