16-Year-Old Killed, 4 Other Teens Injured in Car Accident on Foresthill Road [Placer County, CA]

Teen Boy Dead, 4 Others Seriously Injured in Placer County Car Accident on Foresthill Road

 
PLACER COUNTY, CA (March 27, 2024) – A 16-year-old boy died and four other teenagers were injured after a car accident on Foresthill Road, early Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on March 26, at about 1:10 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a 2020 Toyota RAV4 failed to make a curve along Foresthill Road.
 
Then, the vehicle crashed into a tree near Mayflower Road.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the 16-year-old driver dead at the scene. Authorities did not release the name of the victim.
 
Meanwhile, four other teenagers, ages 16 to 17, suffered serious injuries. All injured victims were transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
