Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on College Avenue [Santa Rosa, CA]

Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle on College Avenue near Orchard Street in Santa Rosa

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (March 27, 2024) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident on College Avenue, early Tuesday morning.
 
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, the incident happened on March 26, at about 6:15 a.m. The pedestrian was walking north across the road when a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck hit her near Orchard Street.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old driver of the pickup truck remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Responders temporarily closed the area to make way for an investigation.
 
Santa Rosa police ruled out speed as a factor in the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
