1 Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Sonoma Boulevard in Vallejo
VALLEJO, CA (March 5, 2024) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Sonoma Boulevard near Valle Vista Avenue.
According to Vallejo Police Department officers, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 8:56 p.m. Friday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver heading eastbound on Valle Vista Avenue struck the 37-year-old Vallejo man. Shortly after, officers responded to the 3200 block of Sonoma Boulevard and found the victim lying on the street unresponsive.
The victim passed away not long after. Officials did not release his name. With debris at the scene, officers plan to use these as clues in identifying the vehicle and suspect involved.
