CERES, CA (March 6, 2024) — Ricky Nail Jr. was involved in a deadly pedestrian accident on Service Road near Esmar Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 7:00 p.m. Friday. Under unclear circumstances, a 23-year-old Oakland man was hit by a westbound 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck. Subsequently, Ripon resident Ricky Nail Jr., who was unable to avoid hitting the man, pulled over and called 911.
 
Soon after, emergency responders arrived and took the victim to Doctors Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Officials did not release his name.
 
Authorities could not say what led to the accident, but an investigation should confirm these details.
