Driver Dies in 2-Vehicle Crash at Watt Avenue in Arden-Arcade
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (May 3, 2024) — One person died in a 2-car accident at Watt Avenue and El Camino Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a silver SUV driver failed to stop at the red light and crashed into a Toyota Prius turning left onto El Camino Avenue. Subsequently, the SUV continued and struck a light pole.
Minutes later, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded and found the SUV driver with fatal injuries. Officials did not release the person’s name. The Toyota Prius driver complained of pain and was released shortly thereafter.
Authorities did not specify the cause of the accident. However, an investigation should confirm any unclear details.
