VALENCIA, CA (July 24, 2024) — Paramedics took one person to a hospital after a car crashed, becoming trapped underneath a big rig at Highway 126 and Newhall Ranch Road.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said the two-vehicle crash happened around 11:47 p.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, a Jeep Cherokee SUV struck a big rig, trapping itself underneath the truck. As a result, the Jeep driver was trapped for a short time until firefighters extricated the occupant from the wreckage.
The individual suffered unknown injuries, prompting paramedics to transport the person to a local hospital.
Authorities had no information surrounding what led to the accident.
Give larger vehicles more space when driving. They require more room for navigation from turning to switching lanes. Also, remember, it may be difficult for truck drivers to see you since they often tow a long trailer.
