Bicyclist Dies in Crash on Ted Williams Parkway in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 19, 2024) — A man died in a bicycle accident on Ted Williams Parkway near the 5 Freeway.
 
The fatal bicycle crash happened around 9:25 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities are identifying what caused a 33-year-old San Diego man to hit a bicyclist with his Dodge Ram pickup. Shortly after the incident, paramedics responded and rushed the victim to a hospital where he passed away.
 
Officials have not released his name pending notification of family members.
 
Following the accident, the driver stayed and cooperated with investigators. However, they have yet to identify if DUI factored into the cause as a toxicology report is pending.
