Rebecca Chavez Dies in Pedestrian Crash on 110 Freeway near Carson Street

 
CARSON, CA (July 26, 2024) — Rebecca Chavez died in a pedestrian accident on the 110 Freeway near Carson Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 9:32 p.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, Rebecca Elena Chavez was running across the northbound 110 Freeway when a semi-tractor trailer struck her.
 
Moments later, CHP officers responded, finding her in the middle lanes of the interstate. She passed away from severe injuries at the scene.
 
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified her the next day.
 
Traffic investigators do not know why she was running on the road. However, they are looking further into his crash.
