Woman Airlifted in Traffic Accident at Arrowhead Lake Road and Saddle Dike Embankment [Hesperia, CA]

Traffic Accident on Arrowhead Lake Road in Hesperia Sends Driver to Hospital

 
HESPERIA, CA (July 29, 2024) – A woman was airlifted in a traffic accident at Arrowhead Lake Road and Saddle Dike Embankment in Hesperia on Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 12:39 p.m. on July 27, at the entrance to the Deep Creek spillway/dam area. According to the CHP, a blue Subaru Outback was parked along the shoulder of the road when it was rear-ended by a green 2018 Tesla Model 3.
 
The impact caused the Tesla to veer off the roadway and tumble down a steep embankment.
 
The female driver of the Tesla was found unconscious down the embankment. She later regained consciousness and complained of stomach pain.
 
San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene and requested a medical helicopter. Mercy Air landed on the dam and airlifted the woman to Loma Linda University Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
