Gricelda Sandoval Dies in Head-On Crash on Ridgecrest Road near Chinquapin Drive

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (August 16, 2024) — Gricelda Sandoval died in a head-on accident on Ridgecrest Road near Chinquapin Drive.
 
According to the Victorville Police Department, the two-car crash happened around 6:45 a.m. on August 15. For unknown reasons, a 2017 GMC Yukon and a white 2024 Toyota Camry collided head-on. Subsequently, authorities and paramedics arrived and performed life-saving measures on the Toyota driver. However, she died from her injuries. Authorities identified her as Gricelda Ponce Sandoval.
 
The 52-year-old man from Victorville driving the GMC suffered unknown injuries and received hospital care.
 
Due to the crash, police closed Ridgecrest Road between Green Tree Boulevard and Dayton Street for several hours to investigate.
