Lawrence Foutch Dies in 3-Car Crash on Highway 120 near Meadowlark Lane

 
OAKDALE, CA (August 16, 2024) — Lawrence Foutch died in a three-car accident on Highway 120 near Meadowlark Lane.
 
The California Highway Patrol responded to the fatal multi-car crash around 7:33 a.m. Thursday. Upon arriving, CHP officers learned that a westbound Hyundai hatchback attempted to pass a westbound 2018 Ford Sedan in the No. 1 lane. Subsequently, the Ford struck the left rear of the Hyundai as their lanes merged, sending it into eastbound traffic where a 2018 Nissan pickup plowed into the right side of the Hyundai. From there, the Hyundai struck a concrete curb and a traffic sign.
 
Minutes later, paramedics responded and transported the Nissan driver to a hospital with minor injuries. The Oakdale woman operating the Ford claimed no injuries.
 
However, 33-year-old Lawrence Foutch, the Hyundai driver, passed away from severe injuries. Officers do not suspect drugs or alcohol to have factored into the cause.
