Man Test Driving Electric Pickup Truck Strikes and Seriously Injures Auto Salesman on Mission Bay Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 6, 2024) – A vehicle salesman was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle on Mission Bay Drive in San Diego Sunday afternoon on August 4.
According to the San Diego Police Department, a 54-year-old man was test driving an electric 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning when he shifted into drive and the truck and abruptly launched forward in the parking lot of the dealership.
The truck then struck the 31-year-old salesman in the 4500 block of Mission Bay Drive around 1:30 p.m.
As a result of the crash, the salesman sustained a skull fracture and brain bleed. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital in an unknown condition.
The crash is still under investigation.
