2 Hospitalized in Car Crash on Skyway Drive in Santa Maria

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (September 11, 2024) — Two people were injured in a 2-car accident on Skyway Drive near Auto Park Drive early Sunday.
 
According to Santa Maria Firefighters, the car crash happened at approximately 1:15 a.m. For an unknown reason, two vehicles collided on Skyway Drive. Subsequently, Santa Maria Police and Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene to assist.
 
Officials found one driver trapped in one of the cars and needing extrication. After freeing the victim, paramedics transported two patients with moderate to major injuries to a local hospital.
 
At this time, Santa Maria Police officers have not said what drove the accident. However, an investigation should prove the details.
