Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Bus near Azusa Avenue in Santa Fe Springs

 
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (September 24, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a Metro Bus near Azusa Avenue and Pepperbrook Way Monday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly pedestrian accident occurred around 5:42 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a Metro Bus struck a person in the unincorporated Hacienda Heights area. Subsequently, CHP officers responded and located the victim who died later at the scene.
 
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has not released the person’s name pending notification of next of kin.
