Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Car on Stevens Creek Boulevard in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (September 22, 2024) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident at Stevens Creek Boulevard and Hanson Avenue in San Jose on Thursday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. on September 19, just near Santana Row. According to the San Jose Police Department, the female pedestrian was struck by a car in unclear circumstances.
 
The impact caused the woman severe injuries. Paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she later died.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The female driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Police closed the eastbound Stevens Creek Boulevard from Cypress Avenue to Hanson Avenue for a significant amount of time while they worked on the scene.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
