43-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Car in Fairfield

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (September 26, 2024) – Regina Perez Nicolas was hit and killed by a car in Fairfield Wednesday morning on September 25.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:29 a.m. on Waterman Boulevard near Capitola Way. According to the Fairfield Police Department, Nicolas was crossing Waterman Boulevard when a vehicle struck her.
 
Nicolas suffered fatal injuries from the crash and died at the scene. She was a 43-year-old Fairfield resident, according to the Solano County Coroner’s Office.
 
The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Police officials do not suspect drugs or alcohol as a factor in the crash, but an investigation is ongoing.
