1 Dead, 1 Injured in 2-Car Accident near Sierra Highway and San Gabriel Avenue [Acton, CA]

Fatal 2-Vehicle Collision near Sierra Highway in Acton

 
ACTON, CA (October 2, 2024) — One person died in a 2-car accident near Sierra Highway and San Gabriel Avenue Monday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident happened around 6:27 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a Nissan Sentra and a dark-colored pickup truck collided, causing the Nissan to split into two
 
Subsequently, CHP officers responded and found the victims and the two damaged vehicles. The Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed one fatality: the Nissan driver, whose name officers have not released.
 
The second victim, the driver of the pickup truck, suffered unknown injuries and sought hospital care.
 
After the crash, CHP officers combed the scene for clues explaining the accident but did not say what factors led to the collision.
