Pedestrian Fatally Struck by 2 Vehicles on Olive Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (October 18, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by two cars in a hit-and-run accident on Olive Avenue and Villa Street.
 
Fresno Police Officers responded to multiple calls around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arriving, they found a man lying on the road. Although Emergency Medical Services rendered medical aid and took him to a hospital, the victim passed away from severe injuries. Officials described the victim as an unhoused individual who was carrying several items and blocking the road in the poorly lit area when the first driver struck him. A second car, believed to be a midsize sedan, struck the victim but left the scene.
 
At this time, the Fresno Police Department believes no alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. However, they would like anyone’s help identifying the second driver who left.
