Pedestrian Struck Dead in Green Valley Road Accident in Watsonville
WATSONVILLE, CA (November 20, 2024) — One person died in a pedestrian accident on Green Valley Road at Amesti Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, a 35-year-old man from Freedom operating a southbound gray 2006 Toyota Camry struck a 53-year-old pedestrian from Royal Oaks.
Soon after, authorities and paramedics responded, but the victim passed away at the scene. Officials have not released the person’s identity.
After the crash, CHP officers canvassed the scene for clues leading to the impact. However, they did not determine an explanation. Thus far, they have ruled out drugs and alcohol.
